[00:10.023] I've been asking myself this question for

[00:14.459] and it doesn't get any easier to answer

[00:20.274] An artist is not a performer,
[00:22.724] a producer, or a celebrity
[00:25.774] because all three of those things
[00:28.070] can be "replicated"
[00:28.845] they're "replacable"
[00:30.486] I think an artist is what inspires.
[00:33.160] someone who pushes
[00:34.842] the narrative forward in their own direction,
[00:36.481] using the foundation laid by others-
[00:38.206] other "artists".
[00:39.941] I remember when
[00:41.069] I started making music
[00:42.454] I was really inspired by an artist.
[00:46.649] 12 hours a day of just
[00:48.545] plugging away at my laptop.
[00:50.101] Biking to the internet cafe for wifi.
[00:55.026] like, I really liked making music
[00:57.864] and I found out it's
[00:59.935] how I wanted to express myself.

[01:06.918] because I'm the only one that can tell it.

[01:18.879] because no matter how cool or accurate

[01:25.816] or the conversation I am having with you
