[00:31.23]Once upon a time not long ago,
[00:32.23]when people wore pajamas and lived life slow,
[00:34.55]When laws were stern and justice stood,
[00:37.03]and people were behavin' like they ought ta good,
[00:39.23]There lived a lil' boy who was misled,
[00:41.51]by anotha lil' boy and this is what he said:

[00:46.37]robbin' old folks and makin' da dash",
[00:49.14]They did the job, money came with ease,
[00:50.90]but one couldn't stop, it's like he had a disease,
[00:53.16]He robbed another and another and a sista and her
[00:55.12]brotha,
[00:56.13]tried to rob a man who was a D.T. undercover,
[00:57.95]The cop grabbed his arm, he started acting erratic,

[01:02.69]Punched him in his belly and he gave him a slap,

[01:07.28]The kid pulled out a gun, he said "Why'd ya hit me?",

[01:11.94]The cop got scared, the kid, he starts to figure,

[01:19.09]cop radioes it to another lady cop,
[01:21.36]He ran by a tree, there he saw this sista,
[01:23.64]a shot for the head, he shot back but he missed her,
[01:26.06]Looked around good and from expectations,
[01:28.36]so he decided he'd hit for the subway stations,
[01:31.05]But she was coming and he made a left,
[01:33.03]he was runnin' top speed till he was outta breath,
[01:35.26]Knocked an old man down and swore he killed him,(sorry)
[01:37.65]then he made his move to an abandoned building,
[01:39.99]Ran up the stairs up to the top floor,
[01:42.23]opened up the door there, guess who he saw?,
[01:44.61]Dave the **** fiend shootin' ****,
[01:47.41]who don't know the meaning of water nor soap,
[01:49.89]He said(I need bullets, hurry up, run)
[01:51.70]the **** fiend brought back a spanking shotgun,
[01:54.29]He went outside but there was cops all over,
[01:56.52]then he dipped into a car, a stolen Nova,
[01:58.72]Raced up the block doing 83,

[02:03.37]Escaped alive though the car was battered,
[02:05.78]rat-a-tat-tatted and all the cops scattered,

[02:22.04]Sirens sounded, he seemed astounded,
[02:24.37]before long the lil' boy got surrounded,
[02:27.00]He dropped the gun, so went the glory,
[02:29.10]and this is the way I have to end this story,
[02:31.34]He was only seventeen, in a madman's dream,
[02:33.77]the cops shot the kid, I still hear him scream,
[02:36.16]This ain't funny so don't ya dare laugh,
[02:38.72]just another case about the wrong path,
