Poems of William Blake, Chapter 3 - William Blake
[00:00.00]Then naked and ...
[00:00.00]Then naked and white, all their bags left behind
[00:04.63]They rise upon clouds, and sport in the wind
[00:08.25]And the angel told Tom,if he'd be a good boy“
[00:11.35]He'd have God for his father, and never want joy“
[00:14.80]And so Tom awoke, and we rose in the dark
[00:18.46]And got with our bags and our brushes to work
[00:21.07]Though the morning was cold,Tom was happy and warm
[00:24.57]So,if all do their duty, they need not fear harm
[00:29.85]Chapter 8 《The Little Boy Lost》《
[00:36.42]Father,father, where are you going?
[00:40.33]Oh,do not walk so fast!
[00:42.13]Speak,father, speak to your little boy
[00:44.55]Orelse I shall be lost
[00:46.64]The night was dark, no father was there
[00:50.20]The child was wet with dew
[00:53.11]The mire was deep, and the child did weep
[00:55.79]And away the vapour flew
[01:01.44]Chapter 9《The Little Boy Found》《
[01:05.09]The little boy lost in the lonely fen
[01:08.53]Led by the wandering light
[01:10.57]Began to cry,but God,ever nigh
[01:14.29]Appeared like his father,in white
[01:16.29]He kissed the child, and by the hand led
[01:19.35]And to his mother brought
[01:21.57]Who in sorrow pale, through the lonely dale
[01:24.54]Her little boy weeping sought
[01:26.93]Chapter 10《Laughing Song》《
[01:32.67]When the green woods laugh with the voice of joy
[01:36.23]And the dimpling stream runs laughing by
[01:39.06]When the air does laugh with our merry wit
[01:42.53]And the green hill laughs with the noise of it
[01:45.21]When the meadows laugh with lively green
[01:48.04]And the grasshopper laughs in the merry scene
[01:51.38]When Mary and Susan and Emily
[01:54.00]With their sweet round mouths sing Ha ha he!
[01:58.16]When the painted birds laugh in the shade
[02:02.23]Where our table with cherries and nuts is spread
[02:05.09]Come live, and be merry, and join with me
[02:08.81]To sing the sweet chorus of Ha ha he!
[02:15.68]Chapter 11《A Cradle Song》《
[02:21.04]Sweet dreams, form a shade O'er my lovely infant's head
[02:26.82]Sweet dreams of pleasant streams By happy, silent, moony beams! Sweet Sleep, with soft down
[02:44.57]Sweet smiles, in the night Hover over my delight! Sweet smiles, mother's smiles, All the livelong night beguiles. Sweet moans, dovelike sighs
[02:57.53]Chase not slumber from thy eyes! Sweet moans, sweeter smiles
[03:02.71]All the dovelike moans beguiles. Sleep, sleep, happy child! All creation slept and smiled. Sleep, sleep, happy sleep,While o'er thee thy mother weep.
[03:14.98]Sweet babe, in thy face Holy image I can trace
[03:19.36]Sweet babe, once like thee,Thy Maker lay, and wept for me
[03:24.16]Wept for me, for thee, for all
[03:27.22]When He was an infant small
[03:29.88]Thou His image ever see
[03:32.12]Heavenly face that smiles on thee! Smiles on thee, on me, on all, Who became an infant small;
[03:41.27]Infant smiles are His own smiles;
[03:43.68]Heaven and earth to peace beguiles.
[03:46.32]Chapter 12《The Divine Image》《
[03:52.40]To Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love, All pray in their distress, And to these virtues of delight
[04:02.11]Return their thankfulness
[04:04.37]For Mercy, Pity, Peace,and Love
[04:07.83]Is God our Father dear;
[04:11.59]And Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love, Is man, His child and care.
[04:16.87]For Mercy has a human heart;
[04:19.42]Pity, a human face; And Love, the human form divine:
[04:24.93]And Peace the human dress
[04:27.54]Then every man, of every clime,
[04:29.78]That prays in his distress
[04:31.61]Prays to the human form divine:
[04:34.11]Love, Mercy, Pity, Peace
[04:37.11]And all must love the human form
[04:40.57]In heathen, Turk, or Jew
[04:43.04]Where Mercy, Love, and Pity dwell
[04:46.34]There God is dwelling too
[04:51.96]Chapter 13《Holy Thursday》《
[04:55.55]Twas on a holy Thursday, their innocent faces clean
[04:59.61]The children walking two and two, in red, and blue, and green
[05:04.27]Grey-headed beadles walked before, with wands as white as snow
[05:09.53]Till into the high dome of Paul's they like Thames waters flow
[05:14.07]O what a multitude they seemed, these flowers of London town!
[05:19.53]Seated in companies they sit, with radiance all their own
[05:23.67]The hum of multitudes was there, but multitudes of lambs
[05:27.92]Thousands of little boys and girls raising their innocent hands
[05:32.20]Now like a mighty wind they raise to heaven the voice of song
[05:36.86]Or like harmonious thunderings the seats of heaven among
[05:41.36]Beneath them sit the aged men, wise guardians of the poor
[05:47.10]Then cherish pity, lest you drive an angel from your door
[05:54.61]Chapter 14《Night》
[05:58.13]The sun descending in the West
[06:00.96]The evening star does shine
[06:03.08]The birds are silent in their nest, And I must seek for mine
[06:07.13]The moon, like a flower In heaven's high bower, With silent delight
[06:12.61]Sits and smiles on the night
[06:14.69]Farewell, green fields and happy groves
[06:17.30]Where flocks have took delight
[06:21.33]Where lambs have nibbled, silent moves The feet of angels bright
[06:25.75]Unseen, they pour blessing, And joy without ceasing, On each bud and blossom
[06:32.62]And each sleeping bosom
